Brown Deer Park
Surely, the picturesque 18th hole was much easier when Brown Deer Park opened for public play in 1929. Not all the trees could have been this mature, this large, this foreboding that long ago. Today golfers have to forget the past when they tee it up at this wonderful concluding hole. How many have hoped to end the round on a high note, only to have events - and their scores - turn sour here? Professionals play this course and so does the public. The ability to keep the ball in play at Brown Deer Park is worth more than a few strokes, as Tiger Woods found out here in his pro debut at the 1996 Greater Milwaukee Open.
