Dorado Beach
Recent renovations have brought this Robert Trent Jones, Sr. design back to prominence as one of Puerto Rico’s premier golf venues. Differences in today’s golf technology and techniques were taken into account with the adjustment of trees, bunkers, tees and greens, but Raymond Floyd, who oversaw the changes, said, “We’ve restored the course’s beauty and classicism while preserving Jones’s ‘challenging design.’” Sand and water abound here, but it’s the wind that can create the greatest havoc – especially on the 13th hole, featured here by Stonehouse photographer Patrick Drickey in panoramic format.
