Loch Lomond
“Unforgettable” is the word most used to describe this Tom Weiskopf/Jay Morrish design, located on the ancestral lands of Clan Colquhoun, only a 25-minute drive from Glasgow. Nestled between the Highlands and the shores of Loch Lomond, this is a newer club that offers a very traditional and historic feel, from its 18th century manor clubhouse, to the ruins of the 15th century Rossdhu Castle behind the 18th green. And the golf? The course is home to the Scottish Open Championship, but perhaps Nick Faldo said it best: “This is the finest golf course in Europe.” It’s certainly one of the most picturesque, as these Stonehouse panoramic images duly attest.
