Despite the fact that Portstewart has been around since 1894, for many years it existed under the shadow of its acclaimed neighbor, Royal Portrush Golf Club, just three miles down the road. Then in 1981 the club added 60 acres, sculpted new holes, and within a decade was reborn – a new classic with an old Irish name.
