Rancho La Quinta Jones
If you saw Fred Couples win the PGA Skins Game in 1996, or Tom Lehman’s victory in 1997, or Mark O’Meara’s top finish in ’98, you’ve seen the course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., at Rancho La Quinta. Using the Santa Rosa mountains as a backdrop, it’s obvious Jones has authored another masterpiece: A skillful blend of mounds, rolling greens and strategic bunkering that enchants as it challenges golfers from all over the world, including many of the best ever to play the game. Words can’t accurately describe the artistry and skill that went into making this one of the world’s most talked-about courses, but as you can see, the images in the Stonehouse Collection come very, very close.
