If this unique course had a motto, it might be “think green.” Why? It’s a Nicklaus signature course that caters not only to golfers, but to the environment as well. Working with Audubon International, Nicklaus gave special attention to restoring the area’s natural habitat while creating a challenging layout for golfers of all skill levels. Now, in addition to tiered greens, rolling fairways and manicured bunkers, the course uses a maintenance strategy that includes eco-friendly cutting, fertilization and pesticide practices, as well as daily core sampling to ensure water conservation. The result is a golf course fit for man and beast, as these Stonehouse panoramic images clearly show.
