Hole Description
Long and straight are the keys to success in playing this private club in Duluth, Georgia. Originally located at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, the club moved to the suburb of Duluth in 1967, constructing two courses, the Highlands and the River Course, to accommodate its membership. Since moving it has hosted the 1976 U.S. Open, the 1981 and 2001 PGA Championships, and the 1990 Women’s Open. Narrow fairways and fast greens characterize these Robert Trent Jones and Rees Jones designs, which have earned recognition by both Golf Connoisseur and Golf Digest magazines, and a reprise as host to the 2010 PGA Championship.
