Hole Description
Located in County Donegal on the far northwest coast of Ireland, Ballyliffin boasts two courses, the Old and the Glashedly, to tempt and torture golfers from around the world. Though the land has been described as “flattish,” when played it is anything but; fairways are moonscapes of hollows, folds, lumps and ripples – and a perfect interpretation of links golf terrain, according to Nick Faldo. Somewhat isolated from Ireland’s busiest travel centers, Ballyliffin nevertheless offers true golf enthusiasts the challenge, or perhaps the frustration, they seek. And as this Stonehouse image suggests, a beautiful view all the while.
