Hole Description
Since it opened for play in 1936, this A.W. Tillinghast-designed, ryegrass public course has seen more than 14 million rounds played. Why? Reasonable green fees and a slew of strategically placed bunkers make it a true test of target golf skill. Such a test, in fact, that in 2002 it played host to the U.S. Open – a victory for Tiger Woods, who was the only golfer to score under par. Bethpage holds the distinction of being the Open’s first publicly owned and operated course. One look at these Stonehouse panoramic images tells you why.
