Hole Description
The Firestone Country Club has not one but three championship level courses, the South, the North, and the West, and holds the distinction of being the only club to host three televised events in the same calendar year – the American Golf Classic, the CBS Golf Classic, and the World Series of Golf. The South Course, recognized as the flagship track, holds enduring memories of many great moments in the game, including Jack Nicklaus’s come-from-behind victory in the 1975 PGA Championship, and more recently, Tiger Woods’s famous “Shot in the Dark” win in the 2000 NEC World Golf Championship. Established in 1929, Firestone occupies a special place in the annals of American golf.
