Hole Description
This par 3 has been a turning point in many professional tournaments hosted by this full test of a course. It provides a stern test, regardless of which tees the golfer uses. This Jack Nicklaus design is penal to errant shots. In the case of No. 12, trouble awaits virtually every step of the way.
The hole incorporates the worst enemies of the golfer: water, mature stands of trees, and heavy rough. Shown here from the back tees, the tee shot must be lengthy because the second shot will also be long. A stream on the valley floor comes into play off the tee on the approach. A slender, medium sized green is indifferent to all but the truest of shots, making a good up and down game a necessity. If there is safety, it is short right of the green.
The golf course is situated among gorgeous woodlands that lend a beautiful view to the golfer and spectator alike. Glen Abbey is an icon of Canadian golf.
