Hole Description
Few clubs boast a heritage equal to that of Glen View. Founded in 1897 just north of Chicago, the club’s storied past includes hosting the first Western Open tournament in 1899, the U.S. Senior Men’s Amateur in 1902, and the U.S. Open in 1904. In addition, Glen View was the home club of Chick Evans, famed Chicago-area golfer and namesake of the Evans Scholars Program. Meticulous care of the grounds has always been an important part of the club’s métier; playing at 6,550 yards, the well-bunkered, open fairways and average-size greens draw about 20,000 rounds each season - mostly from members, but also from aficionados attracted to Glen View’s renowned history and William Flynn-designed layout.
