Hole Description
As one weaves and curves around the Florida swampland, much like the Spanish moss, Grand Cypress Resort unfolds from underneath the Cypress trees. As the golfer approaches the tee box on East Course it's the only thing visible is the island green. A stiff wind notwithstanding, the island is reachable with almost any club in the bag The green is well bunkered on the tight and back sides with strategic placement. Should the wind blow from left to right, a par save on this hole is an excellent score. Should the golfer hit the green, a birdie is no gimmie. The contour of the green feeds the ball towards the middle and away from the pin placement making No. 5 a very difficult par 3.
