Hole Description
Feel like playing links golf on a hill? This British Open qualifying course is built on Gullane Hill, and here golfers have been contending with uphill and downhill lies for more than three centuries. From the top, experts say players have the best 360-degree view in all of Scotland – including Edinburgh, the Firth of Forth, Muirfield, and the town of Gullane itself. But don’t let the scenery distract you; deep pot bunkers and devilish sea breezes can spell trouble here. Oh, and one other thing: at Gullane there are no winter rules; the excellent turf dictates you play the ball as it lies all year round.
