Hole Description
Nicklaus course aficionados need look no further than Turtle Point for the quintessential example of early Nicklaus design. The small greens, narrow fairways and strategic hazard placements all bespeak Jack’s early emphasis on the mental game: think position, and consider every shot. One of the longest courses on the Kiawah list, Turtle Point requires skillful use of long irons and fairway woods, accuracy from the tee, and emotional control to solve its many scoring dilemmas. Blessed by a beautiful coastal environment, visual compensation is ever-present, too, regardless of score.
