Hole Description
There’s speculation that it’s only a matter of time before this links land gem joins the shortlist of Open venues. And why not? The Kingsbarns/St. Andrews neighborhood is where the game got its start. Kingsbarns has had its own identity since its Golf Society was formed in the late eighteenth century, but the existing links layout has only been in play since 2000, when designer Kyle Phillips spun his concept of technology in support of tradition into an instant success. Much of the credit is due to the East Fife soils, ridges and hollows, and the contours of natural links terrain that only Mother Nature can conjure.
