Hole Description
Since opening in 1924, the Knollwood Club in Lake Forest has entertained members and guests with a caliber of golf that drew the attention of the USGA in 1956, when the club was asked to host the National Amateur Championship, and again in ’82 for the Second U.S. Mid Amateur. The PGA noticed, too, and in 1986 Knollwood hosted the Thirteenth International PGA Cup Matches. With its scenic, hilly terrain, long rough and immaculate bent grass fairways and greens, this Colt and Alison design offers some of the finest championship golf in the Midwest, along with an elegant assemblage of club buildings designed by renowned architect Howard Shaw.
