Hole Description
Built originally as a three-hole course on San Francisco’s Potter’s Field Cemetery in 1902, this course didn’t become an 18-hole track until 1918, followed by a Donald Ross-redesigned version in 1928, complete with crowned greens, a few sand bunkers and heavy rough. Surprisingly challenging, Lincoln Park has for years served as a local “incubator” for some of the game’s notable players, including Johnny Miller, Ken Venturi and Dorothy Delasin. Playing under 5,500 yards from the back tees, what Lincoln Park lacks in distance it makes up in scenery, providing some of the Richmond District’s best views of the city.
