Hole Description
Few venues in the world of golf have the championship tradition of Oakmont. Introduced in 1903 by designer Henry Fownes, Oakmont Country Club has hosted more major championships than any other course in the U.S., including seven United States Opens, five U.S. Amateurs, three PGA Championships, and one U.S. Women's Open. This year, the U.S Open returns to Oakmont after a thirteen year hiatus to test golf's greatest professionals and amateur players. The short par four 14th at Oakmont will challenge the longer players to drive the green. The more conservative players will hit long iron off the tee, and a short-iron into this very large green. As the green generally slopes from right to left players will try to stay left of the flagstick to have an uphill birdie putt.
