Hole Description
Despite the fact that Portstewart has been around since 1894, for many years it existed under the shadow of its acclaimed neighbor, Royal Portrush Golf Club, just three miles down the road. Then in 1981 the club added 60 acres, sculpted new holes, and within a decade was reborn – a new classic with an old Irish name. Home to perhaps the best starting hole in all of Ireland, Portstewart provides exceptional coastal scenery to match the challenge of its buckthorn-and-marram-topped dunes and fast greens. Make no mistake, behind its wild Irish beauty lies a true test of links golf – and every shot in your bag.
