Hole Description
One of Ireland’s elegant estates, the 1200-acre Powerscourt Estate and Gardens, is the home of this David McLay Kidd design. Opened in 2003, the course features tall pines, large greens and wide fairways, and offers spectacular views of Sugar Loaf Mountain in visions reminiscent of links courses in the Scottish Highlands. Its hilly routing gives the West Course its essential character, which Kidd describes as, “… a challenging course… in a fashion that allows the occasional golfer to have fun without being beaten up.”
