Hole Description
Jerry Pate’s collaborations with course design notables Jack Nicklaus, Pete Dye, Tom Fazio, Bob Cupp and Ron Garl have influenced and informed the design of this, his first signature course. Ranked the #2 Best Private Course in the Coachella Valley in a PGA Professionals poll, the Pate Course at La Quinta plays over 7,000 yards, slightly longer than the Jones Course. Water comes into play on many holes here, requiring accurate shot placement from tee and fairway, but reaching the green is no guarantee of success - sloping surfaces quickly penalize misreads. Fortunately, as you can see in our Stonehouse images, desert scenery more than offsets the occasional player misstep.
