Hole Description
Since its founding in 1914 Red Run has successfully promoted the competitive traditions of the game, continuously hosting the second oldest invitational tournament in Michigan in addition to the Motor City Open in 1950 and ’51, and the Western Open in 1958. Great names like Chick Harbert, Al Watrous, Porky Oliver and Walter Hagen have enhanced the club’s reputation over the years by playing the 6,818-yard, Willie Park-design, a challenging parkland setting that demands skill with every club. Adding to Red Run’s prestige is the club’s strong caddie program, and its affiliation with the Evans Scholars Foundation, the nation’s leading college scholarship program for caddies.
