Hole Description
Tough but fair – the most frequent description of this Nicklaus course alludes to its playability and challenge; it’s a potpourri of water, Florida rough, pot bunkers and well-maintained greens sufficient to inspire (and deflate) the ambitions of any player. Jupiter is the first of Nicklaus’s Ritz-Carlton ventures, a 7,224-yard combination of tournament-quality holes that attracts the attention not only of golfers, but wildlife as well – the course was certified as an environmentally-friendly habitat by the Audubon Society in 2006. Players are well-advised to keep their eyes peeled for a glimpse of the bald eagles that live in the adjacent wildlife preserve, as well as the occasional rocket launch from nearby Cape Canaveral.
