Hole Description
Eminent, elegant and exclusive… three words that aptly describe this Donald Steel links design, impeccably sited on Andrew Carnegie’s former 7500-acre estate at Skibo Castle. Bordered by the Dornoch Firth and the hills of Sutherland and Ross-shire, this 6600-yard course is as much a scenic delight as it is a test of golf. One finds irresistible vistas in every direction, not the least of which is Skibo Castle itself, which retains all the comfort and grace one would expect from Carnegie’s residence. The Carnegie Club is a member-and-guest-only experience, so for most of us this beautiful Stonehouse image is as close as we’ll come to the tees at Skibo.
